Planning with Mark to go to the broadcast studio and observe his live recorded chat show.

PITCH EVALUATION
My pitch went okay, I don't think it was exciting enough to catch the audiences attention fully. The introduction included the topic, my name and a title. I included research that I have already done and what I plan to do but I didn't go into enough detail or outline the process. I struggled when creating my pitch as it is a very different topic compared to what I have done before. My project is about me learning and gaining experience with technical equipment and creating a portfolio so a lot of the pitch criteria didn't exactly line up to my pitch content. I clearly showed who will be involved and where it will take place.
I think I made it clear what I was doing in my project but I should've explained more how it would turn out and what I was aiming for. However there wasn't many ways for me to achieve this as the outcome will mainly be evidence of practical work that I haven't done yet.
Again, there weren't many examples of video, images and audio that I could include but I put in as much as I could. For example, images of the locations I'd be going to and photos of me completing practical research.
My main problem, once again, was my actual presenting and confidence. Due to being nervous about doing it in front of everyone I didn't make eye contact with the audience and read off of the computer screen rather than addressing everyone. I was hoping this would get better with experience but I don't feel like that has improved.
So overall I am happy with the content but not with how I presented it.
Research & Development (Theory)
Background research about the topic and psychology behind it include: Primary, secondary, quantitive & qualitative.
Make sure you explain and analyses elements

The day of the first show (28th February) I was able to go into the theatre whilst they were setting up and I had a look around at the equipment and helped out with putting some stuff out.

On Thursday the 29th of February I went to the college theatre to observe a live show that was being recorded. I was able to talk to some people that were working behind the scenes on the vision mixer and watch what they do throughout the show which was really helpful. Seeing the vision mixer being used was really good as it helped me realise that it isn't as confusing as it looks.
MICROPHONE RESEARCH
Cones of pickup on different microphones-
The cones of pick up are the area in which audio is picked up when using a microphone, different microphones have different cones of pickup as they all have different purposes. For example if you are outside doing vox-pops in a windy place you will want mics with a small cone of pickup so you avoid picking up unnecessary background noise.
This is a diagram I found on- https://soundref.com/different-types-of-microphones/
It shows the different cones of pickup on microphones.

The types of microphones I will need to use will be different depending on the environment I'm in.
When I am doing the outside broadcast with Molly at football clubs I will need to use the Lobar microphone as it will only pickup what the people doing the interview are saying and not background noises that will distract from the main focus. An example of a microphone that has this cone of pickup is a shot gun microphone, rifle microphone also do the same thing and are very similar.
On Lilly's chat show we will most likely be using lapel microphones or hot shoe microphones that sit on top of the camera.
-Hot shoe: A hot shoe is a mount on top of a camera that some microphone can be mounted onto.
-Lapel microphones: These mics are just clipped onto the collar of the clothes that the person speaking is wearing. When putting these on someone I have to be aware of a few things. For one, I have to take into account the direction that someone will be speaking, if they are speaking to someone sitting to the left of them I need to clip it on the left side of their clothes so the audio goes directly int the microphone. Another thing is what they are wearing, if they are wearing clothes that will move around and cover the mic or clothes that make a lot of noise I will have to work with them to place the mic somewhere that won't be affected by those things. Anything covering the mic, like hair or noisy jewellery, needs to be moved otherwise it will obstruct the audio from being clear. These microphones use bluetooth to transfer the data, this means the microphones aren't directly connected up with cables to the camera.
However the XLR cable does need to be connected into the mixer.
Vision Mixer
22/04/24
Vision Mixers are used on productions that have multiple cameras to select the content that the viewers can see. For example they can switch between different camera shots and also different content such as VT.
Vision Mixer video research
This video wasn't very helpful as they have a different vision mixer to the one at college so I can't fully follow what he is saying as it doesn't work the same on the one we have.
He did talk about the differences in audio and video cables which was very informative and taught me that SDI and HDMI leads are for video inputs and XLR leads and 1/4 inch TSR jacks are for audio inputs.12
This video was very helpful in showing me the basics of vision mixing and taught me that all vision mixers work the same way even if they look different or are made by different companies.
I watched this video that uses the TriCaster vision mixer, which is the same as the one I use at college, however it only showed the screen which wasn't great as I needed to see all the actual buttons on the keyboard.
I have struggled quite a bit trying to find a good video that shows in detail how to do all the basics.
Practical Skills
Practical research: experiments with technical elements ie - filming, audio, studio setups, using software premier, Indesign.

The Jaded Teeth interview was the one that I didn't turn the light on for, you can see there's a slight difference but nothing major.
On Friday the 8th of March, me and Lilly went to the final heat of Bury Sound at the Apex in Bury St Edmunds, we were lucky enough to be able to go backstage and get interviews with all 5 finalist bands! (Helix, Jaded Teeth, Dead Distance,Head Check and Suns of Icarus) We were also able to watch the show and take some pictures of the bands playing.

This is backstage in the apex setting up the light for the interviews.
I did forget to turn it on in one of the interviews as it was all quite rushed as the bands had just got off stage but fortunately it didn't make too big of a difference, it's only noticeable if you compare them side by side as the room was quite light anyway. Next time I need to make sure I remember everything and not be so rushed

This was when I was setting up the camera, it wasn't very technical as it was set to automatic and all I had to do was switch it on, focus it and press record. However it was a good starting point to have some practice and get a feel of a camera that I'd never really used before.
I think everything with the camera went quite well especially considering it was my first time with no previous experience.
I was filming with the camera hand held, as Mark wanted a more quick paced, choppy type feel to it so I didn't need to worry about tripods.

These are some picture I took of the live bands, just using my phone camera. I hadn't planned on taking pictures so I didn't have access to any professional photography equipment but it was good to have some practice, it made it interesting trying to get pictures of moving people.

Finished Interviews.
These are the finished interviews with each band that I filmed and Lilly interviewed.
Photography Workshop.
11\03\24
We went to Leonardo House in the college and had a go at taking some pictures, I mainly focused on having a main focus while the rest is blurred. I am quite happy with mine but I need to work on the composition of my photos.

Photoshop Workshop.
14\03\24
We had a work shop with Flo on using photoshop, we focused on filters, curves and levels. This was really good as I've learnt a lot of new skills that I was unaware of.
This video is a time lapse of me experimenting and playing around with different features on photoshop with a picture that I took earlier this week during the photography workshop
Before and After

I don't love how it turned out but I wasn't aiming towards anything, I was just playing around and trying things out so I'm just happy I've now got some more experience on photoshop.
Learning about equipment with Mark.
14\03\24
On Thursday the 14th of March, Mark was showing me around the studio, I learnt how to turn on the cameras and how to adjust settings such as: shutter speed, lighting and more. He showed me how to connect the cameras and microphones up so they work together and an app that works from a Ipad that controls the microphones.

These are some pictures Molly took of me setting up the cameras and equipment.
These are some other pictures of the camera settings and software that Mark uses and showed me how to use.

Photography practice
We have been set a task of capturing photos in different styles. The types are-
-One spot- two dozen: this is where you stand in one place and take 24 unique photographs without moving.
-With one subject, shoot 10 photos: for this one you take one object and take 10 different photographs, all different and different angles.
-Four corners: This task involves using one subject and getting four pictures, each one with the subject in different corner.
-With three objects, shoot 10 photos: This is where you have three objects and attempt to take 10 separate photos of the three objects, meanwhile creating scenes in the photos.
-Focus on reflections: This is self-explanatory, the task is to captures photos that have reflections.
With one subject, shoot 10 photos
20/03/24,
These are the photographs I took for this task

Reflection
Due to the fact that I was restricted to one object my options felt quite limited, I struggled with this as I didn't feel like I was taking enough unique pictures and that they all looked the same. Looking at them now I can see that although they all contain the same things, the pictures all look different. They all have different focus points so your eyes are drawn to different parts of each picture. I am happy with how most of these turned out and enjoyed trying to find different angles.
ART EXCHANGE T.V. STUDIO SET UP 1
.png)
.png)
These are some chat shows I looked at for inspiration for the layout of chat shows, I liked the Jonathan Ross show (top left), the Graham Norton show (top right) and Loose Women (bottom left) as they were all sat round a table and two of them on sofas, this was good as Lilly had stated that she wanted sofas placed around a table and these seemed like a good way of laying it out.
It was after I had looked at these that Lilly went to the broadcast studio and actually tried it out with the two sofas that are in there that she came to the conclusion that it wasn't going to work like that. This was because she realised that due to the amount of guests on the show, when the band was on they wouldn't all fit together on the two sofas.
When she got back from the studio we briefly discussed putting a seat in between them for Lilly to sit on but in the end came to the decision of using three bench style seats arranged similarly to the bottom right picture (A segment on the Jimmy Kimmel show called family feud). This worked out well as we planned on having four cameras, so having three different seats meant that we could have a camera directed at each seat and then a wide shot of everyone.

These are my messages with Lilly on the day of the show, we ran into some problems but this is us solving them and figuring out what our next step was.
Dates
Today we booked in a date for the show, April 29th at 2pm.
Lilly emailed all the guests to confirm that this date and time worked for them. Thankfully everyone got back promptly and were all able to attend!
We also created the show schedule which stated times for each guest and their VT.

Reflection/problem solving.
The day of the show-
At the start of the day I arrived at college to find out that the vision mixer had stopped working completely, it wouldn't even turn on. The vision mixer was a big part of the show and I really needed to finalise my practice that morning and tie up some loose ends. Since it wasn't working and hadn't been for a few days (Over the weekend while I wasn't in college), we made the decision to completely cut the vision mixer from the plan as I wouldn't have a chance to get everything sorted on the mixer and would be unprepared by the time the show started.
So our new plan was virtually the same as before just excluding the vision mixer, I just have to edit the camera shots to the right time on premiere pro after the show rather than changing the view throughout the show. For the VT, it was meant to be played through the vision mixer but as that wasn't working we connected a smaller tv to a computer so the VT could play from there where the guests could watch it and then be edited into the show later on.
After finding out about the vision mixer I then found out that Una (a guest on the show) was absent that day which caused some problems. Lilly (chat show host) wasn't there while I found out about the vision mixer and Una so I messaged her to update her on the situation to see what she would like to do, I was talking to Linzi and some other people on my course and we figured out that she could either do Una's interview herself or wait until the Wednesday and interview her then. Since the interview was Una filling in for an artist who couldn't make it Lilly decided to talk about the artist herself, which worked out really well.
Lilly got in around 10:30 and I was much less stressed as everything had been sorted and I knew what was going on.
As frustrating as it was having the vision mixer stop working, it actually made me feel a lot better as I was now doing it in a way I had done before and knew how to do much better. Rather than using the vision mixer which I would've never got to use live until the morning before the show, this was due to the fact that even though me and Lilly kept asking to do a run through as we both needed the practice and experience doing it live, it never ended up happening which caused me to be very stressed about using the vision mixer.
So after lunch we went back to Mark's studio to finish all the set up, since all I had to do was turn on the cameras and connect the microphones, Mark just needed to show me how to play the VT onto the tv which was just pressing play as it was connected by Bluetooth.
The guests started arriving from 13:30 until about 14:15, by this point we had finished setting up, Lilly handed out some questions so the guests could prepare and had a chat with them.
Soon after, I pressed play on the cameras and the first guest (Dani) came and sat down, I then adjusted the cameras, I did a microphone check and couldn't hear them but I checked and it turned out that the individual volumes were turned up but the master volume was on mute, so I turned that up and they started the interview.
At the beginning of each interview I checked the microphones and camera angles, all the interviews apart from 2 had only one guest so they were all the same to set up. The hardest one was the interview with Manic Stanley because there were three of them which meant setting up more microphones and adjusting the levels.
It all went well though, Mark just changed the levels a bit throughout as he notices more than I do becuase he's had years of experience.
The last interview was just Lilly by herself so I switched off all the microphones besides hers.
The chat show ended and I grabbed all the SD cards to transfer to my hard drive to edit.
When I put them on my computer I noticed that there had been a glitch and 3 out of the 4 videos had glitched and split around the same time which was quite odd. This just meant syncing the audio again when it got to that time stamp on premiere pro.
The next college day was Wednesday and I began editing. Editing was very stressful with syncing up the audio, but after Linzi helped me with that it was all good and I just needed to chop up the footage and camera shots and add in the VT and name pop up graphics.

ART EXCHANGE CHAT SHOW
This is the final edit of the Art Exchange chat show.
Laws and Ethics
The relevant NUJ codes of conduct are:
3. Correcting harmful inaccuracies
4. Differentiating between fact and opinion
10. Not endorsing or advertising any commercial product or service.
Since I am editing and producing the final product that will be available to the public, I have a responsibility to make sure that nothing said comes across harmful and to cut out things inappropriate for the show.
Ethically I need to be aware of everyone involved and take their concerns and opinions into consideration, for example before finalising any of the final production I need to check that Lilly is happy with everything because it is her chat show and she gets the final say.
DERBY DISPUTE T.V. STUDIO SET UP 2
Planning
For this production there isn't much planning involved in terms of the set, this was due to the fact that they have already done this once before for another Norwich VS Ipswich derby game.
However this is my first proper production that I am filming by myself so me and Mark have had a few meetings to discuss what my role will be since he is not available to be there during the recording. What we are going to do the day before is get everything set up so it is ready for me in a way that I am prepared for. This being setting up the cameras and microphones so that all I will need to do is turn them on, and adjust the camera angles to line up with the guests, and for the microphones also attach them to the guests clothing and check the audio.
I have talked to them and asked how they would like the props behind them, for example if they want anything different to last time but they have all agreed that they want it the same as last time as it is part of the same thing. So on the day I will get the merchandise they bring in and position it on ladders behind them, the side that the Norwich fans will be sitting will have the Norwich merchandise and the same thing the other side for the Ipswich supporters and their merchandise.
Inspiration
The same thing applies for inspiration, the only thing I was able to use for my inspiration was the video of the Derby dispute that they had done before as they said that they would like it set up the same again.

Derby Dispute
The derby dispute is a video/podcast that people in my course have now done a couple times with Joey Sadler, it is where they debate the Norwich and Ipswich Derby game. In the photos you can see four people, two in yellow (Norwich fans) and two in blue (Ipswich fans).
The first time thy did this they went viral on twitter, this was there second one and they asked me to come and film it which was really good experience for me and helped a lot with this project, this was also the first project I filmed and I did it mostly alone with some support.

Set up
Cameras
There were three camcorders set up on tripods recording with SD cards in to be edited afterwards. There was a centre cam which had all of them in, one on the left that showed the Ipswich fans and the third camcorder on the right recording the Norwich fans.
Microphones
I used radio microphones, which are also known as lapel mics, these are clipped onto each persons collar(or lapel) and has a wire connected to a little box that transmits the audio via bluetooth.
Stage Setting
For the set we put up ladders with merchandise from the football teams for decoration. The table and chairs were personal choice from the people doing the podcast.
It took lots of rearranging of both the props and cameras to get everything in shot and making sure the Norwich merchandise was behind the Norwich fans and Ipswich merchandise behind Ipswich fans.
BTCFC Outside broadcast SET UP 1
Inspiration
Me and Molly plan on doing vox pop style interviews, as we have known this from the beginning I haven't looked at many things for inspiration, however I have looked at a couple to see what the composition should look like, like how far back I should stand and how much of the persons body should be in shot.
My main source of inspiration is vox pops that I have already done back at the start of the year.
These are some examples of vox pops that I looked at for ideas on composition.
Planning
Today I had a planning meeting with Molly to discuss what our plans are for going out to do interviews, what we have decided is:
-We definitely want them to be like vox pops.
-We will be using an iPhone, osmo and Bluetooth microphones (we have decided on using Molly's phone as she has more storage then I do and I don't trust my phone not to cut out halfway through and say I have low storage)
During the meeting she was going over the spreadsheet with all the dates and times for Bury Town Community's matches and she told me all the ones that we would be able to get to (time-wise and location wise)
There are matches almost every Sunday so we aren't going to be attending all of them but we plan to go to at least five.

Mic Tests
This was the first time we went out, it was during the easter holiday and we had forgotten to get equipment from college, fortunately Molly's boyfriend had exactly what we needed and kindly let us borrow his gimble and Bluetooth mics.
Everything was virtually the same and was easy to figure out.
The first test we did was without the wind covers, we quickly found out that wind covers would definitely be needed as it was very loud, we then tried it with the wind covers and they were amazing, our voices were so much clearer and the sound of the wind was much less noticeable.

Bury Town Community football matches.
Over the easter holiday I went with Molly to some of Bury Town Community FC's football matches, this is for both mine and Molly's project. I was there to help her out by filming the football match and her interviewers with the players.
The equipment I used was a gimble that you put your phone in and it steadied it so that the footage is not shaky and bluetooth microphones with wind covers to block out the wind for the interviews.
Problem Solving
For the first match I filmed a large percentage of the match for use on their social media (Molly's project) but at the end we were informed that the other team's parents hadn't been asked for permission to use the footage or be filmed so all had to be deleted. We were told prior to the game that we had permission but due to miscommunication it turns out that the permission was just for the Bury team. Fortunately we were still able to get the interviews with some of the Bury team, however they were all under 9 so not all of them felt comfortable talking to us so around half declined and the others dd it in groups of 2 and 3, therefore resulting in us only getting 2 bits of footage.
I did still gain experience from it though so it was helpful.
We kept this in mind for the next game and contacted Ross, the coach of the next match we were going to (under 14 boys), to confirm that he would be getting consent from the parents of both teams. He did do this and we were then able to film during the match.
We ran into another problem at this match, the problem being that we didn't get any interviews. This was because due to this game being at a proper football ground, as soon as the match ended they went straight through the "stands" into the changing rooms before we even got a chance to say anything. It was also different from the last one as they are older boys who are more independent whereas the under 9 girls team's parents were all aware of us wanting to talk to them and explained to their children.
At the next match we will need to be quicker at getting the attention of at least one player and asking them if they are comfortable being interviewed and they can then spread the word around the team and then hopefully we will be more successful with getting interviews.
Communication
From my point of view it seemed there was a big lack of communication between us and people involved with the team. At the first match there was one lady called Tash who came over and asked if we were the students from West Suffolk College and then helped us round up all the children to talk to them and get a team picture. Aside from that we haven't talked to anyone else in person and haven't been given much direction as to what to do at all. We are left to navigate the matches ourselves, it is good having a lot of freedom but since neither of us have much experience in this type of situation it would be nice to have someone talk to us at the match or at least acknowledge us.

Football Match
21/04/24
These are pictures of me filming Bury Town Community vs Copplestonians.
Interviews
These are interviews that I filmed of Molly talking to football players that play for the team she's running social media's for.
Equipment
Mobile phone: To record the interviews and the matches I used a mobile phone (Iphone 14 pro max).
Gimble: To hold the mobile phone I used a gimble which balances it and stops it from being shaky. It is like a tripod but it is handheld and when you move it moves the phone in the same direction very smoothly.
Bluetooth Microphones: These are microphones that have 3 parts, two small microphones and another bit that plugs into the phone so when you record the only audio it takes in is what the microphones are taking in.
Lighting: We didn't have to use any artificial lighting because we were always outside in the daylight.
Setting
For all of the matches we have been outside on football pitches or fields so wherever we stood the backgrounds were mostly the same, however for the interviews at King Edwards the team were playing while we were doing interviews and the players just came over one by one, so I stood where the game was in shot behind the player being interviewed.
Laws and Ethics
The relevant NUJ code of conduct is:
11. Seeking the consent of an appropriate adult when interviewing or photographing a child for a story about his/her welfare.
All of the footballers we interviewed were under the age of 18 so we had to acquire consent from the parents of all the children that we planned to have on camera. As I previously said, we ran into some issues with this but they were all resolved and we deleted all footage with children that we didn't have consent for.
Ethically, since all the footballers are children I have to act in a kind, respectful manner as not to scare or worry, because for the majority, or all of them, it will be their first time in this situation and are likely to be a bit confused or worried, following on from that, to help keep them comfortable I will ask them all if they are happy being filmed rather than just consent from the parents.
Jac Campbell Outside Broadcast SET UP 2
Inspiration
These are some chat shows and interviews I looked at for inspiration, they each have one interviewer and one interviewee which is what we are going to have with Una and Jac's interview. The first two are Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel, I like their set up because even though the are at desks, the interviewee is on a sofa and it feels relaxed and not too formal. However due to the location we will be filming at (Jac's house) I don't believe achieving this will be possible so I had a look at the Ellen show which has quite a basic set up of two sofas pointed towards each other but still out at the audience and thought this was a good plan, using what ever furniture was accessible to us at her house.
Planning
My planning ties into my inspiration, we had a planning meeting following my looking at the Ellen show, we discussed how we want to layout the room and came to the same conclusion as I did, having the two diagonal seats. We have also looked at the equipment we will be using, this is what we decided:
Cameras- We are going to use three DSLR cameras mounted on tripods, two of the cameras will frame one person each and the third will have both Una and Jac in shot.
Microphones- We are going to use microphones from the DSLR camera packs mounted on top of the centre camera and also Bluetooth microphones recorded on my phone. This means we have two forms of audio as backup in case there are issues with one of them.
Lighting- We talked about the fact that the room we will be filming in has large windows along 2 out of 4 walls so we will have a lot of natural light coming in. This could work in our favour or it might not, we have to take into consideration that it could be a dark day outside or that it could be really sunny and cast shadows on people. With this is mind we plan to also bring LED lights so we are certain we have at least one source of reliable lighting. The big windows also factor into where we are going to set up the seating and cameras as we are going to want the light on their faces and not too much behind them that it becomes over exposed.
Here is a diagram we drew up during the planning meeting to decide where we will be placing everything.

Communication and Planning
Linzi did most of the communicating with Jac and helped us book in a date to go to her house and film the interview. The original plan was for her to come and be interviewed on Lilly's chat show but she isn't available for the date of the show so we are going to hers and filming it early to be used as VT.

Camera Composition
While editing the interview of Jac Campbell and Una Upeniece, Linzi noticed that there was a big difference in Jac's head height in the separate camera shots, so we used black lines at the top and bottom of the screen to enable us to move the video up and down to put them at a more even height.
The reason they are so uneven is because it was fairly cramped in there, so when I was setting up the cameras it was a bit of a struggle trying to get both of them in shot along with the other cameras with just one person in the shot. I kept running into the problem that objects and people would keep obstructing the shot when trying to angle the camera.

Jac Campbell art VT
This is the finished edit that will be used for VT on the Art Exchange chat show.
It had been cut down quite a lot to make it an appropriate length to be used on the show. Lilly chose the parts of the conversation that was most relevant to what she would be talking about.
Equipment
Cameras: For this I used DSLR cameras to record the interview. I had three set up, one centre with both Jac and Una in, one on the left with just Jac and another on the right with just Una. These cameras had SD cards in, which we brought back to college and edited afterwards on premiere pro.
Audio: I used a rode microphone connected to and mounted on top of the centre DSLR to record audio. I also used Bluetooth microphones that were clipped on to both Jac and Una which was connected to my phone as a backup audio but fortunately the rode microphone had good audio so we used that in the final production.
Lighting: The lighting in Jac's house was very good due to big windows and doors along two of the walls so that worked out quite well. Even though the lighting was good I still mounted LED lights on top of the left and right cameras that were pointing towards their faces to make sure it was good and brightened up their whole face. I ran into a slight problem with the lighting while editing, this being that Jac's face was noticeably brighter than Una's because she was sitting facing the big windows, which was the main source of light, whereas Una had her back to it so there was some shadowing on Una's face. I fixed this, with some support, by using the tools on premiere pro to heighten the exposure, this evened things out and made it so there wasn't a dramatic drop in lighting when switching between shots.
Bury Sound interviews- Outside Broadcast 3
Inspiration
For this production I unfortunately wasn't able to really use inspiration as Mark had a very clear idea of what he wanted it to look like which he verbally gave me a description of, therefore meaning I wouldn't be able to play about with it and use inspiration to make it my own since this was something I was doing for him to help him out with his work for Bury Sound.
Planning
Today me, Linzi, Mark and Lilly had a planning meeting to plan the day of Bury Sound. We have discussed how it is going to be filmed, Mark let me know that he wants it to be filmed handheld so it has more of a home movie feel to it rather than formal interviews, we aren't sure where we will be doing the interviews yet so we don't have a perfectly accurate idea of what it will look like but we do know:
-Equipment we will be using is a camcorder, Senheiser microphone and LED lighting on a light stand.
-The interviews are going to be relatively short as we plan to do them as soon as possible after they come off stage so they are still full of adrenaline, which is the atmosphere Mark wants me to capture.
-We will be interviewing all finalist bands separately.
The day of the show.
On the day of the show me and Lilly arrived and went to find Mark to find out where we could set up for interviews, when we got there he had found a backstage room that would be perfect for the interviews, we went upstairs and got everything set up and played around with different parts of the room which also gae me a chance to practice using the cameras with Lilly stood in front. The room was quite bare so we decided on doing it in front of a white wall with the a band stood to the left talking to Lilly who would be standing on the right hand side.
It all worked out really well, with some support from Mark who knew some of the band members, we managed to talk to all of them after they got off stage, some people were more reluctant to do it than others but with Lilly's interviewing style they all seemed much more relaxed by the time we got going.

On the 2nd May, me, Nevaeh and Lauren went to the studio to do photography, we all took it in turns playing about taking pictures of different makeup products with a white background. We also used different coloured gels to change the lighting colour, however we ended up just sticking to the one pink and one white light.

Reflect & Develop
After every activity, skill learnt and experiment carried out REFLECT on –
technical, management & emotional
-
Successes & issues you have had
-
How you are going to deal with these elements in the future
-
Note what went well, what didn’t go well, what you had to change at the last minute and why, and how could you avoid this in the future? How any issues were resolved and were there any happy ‘accidents’?
